A bit of TLC for the kittens
I've updated the game to use the latest PICO-8 again and now it's using a different method to get multiple sprite sheets in PICO-8. This improves performance and means the game doesn't have to be so careful about the order in which it draws. So the stairs are no longer in front of the scores and the kittens and lights don't go behind the sleigh feet at the end. Those lights also shouldn't appear to spring into existence when the kittens reach the roof any more.

Was this game ever in a PICO-8 Advent Calendar? It should be. It's excellent.
Thanks - I thought it came out quite well. It's not been in the Advent Calendar, but to be fair I suspect it might be because it is using a non-documented feature of PICO-8 (to make it wide screen) and that makes it a little problematic to run outside the html wrapper I hacked for it.
I also only barely sneaked it out in time for the 25th when I first wrote it. I don't mind, I enjoyed making it, it gets some interest each year and people seem to enjoy playing it :)

I don’t think it will - it needs command line options when running PICO-8 so it will use the second display otherwise only the left side of the game will be visible. That’s why I never uploaded it to the BBS. Otherwise I’d love to 😊
